Charlie is the founder of Alpoholics which is now entering its 6th winter season. Charlie has an Honours degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management and is a former British Universities Freestyle Snowboard Champion. He has also been known to spin a few tunes in many of La Plagne’s bars throughout the season so be sure to catch him in action during your stay!
Jess has already completed 2 seasons in La Plagne working in chalets of different shapes & sizes and has now made the step up to managing our portfolio of 4 chalets. Jess is super smiley and personable and nothing is ever too much trouble. She has excellent local knowledge of the resort and ski area and loves to pop into the chalets for a cup of tea or a glass of wine with her guests.
Jason will be operating mainly in Chalet Orshanti looking after all of the many goodies Alpoholics are known for including the Ski & Snowboard test fleet, the Hot Tubs, Sauna, Cinema etc. as well as being on hand during meal times as an extra pair of hands in the chalet. He will also be our transfer man escorting guests from/to the airport on transfer day.
This winter Nick takes the Helm in our Flagship Chalet in Plagne 1800. Nick is a vastly experienced chef having plied his trade in hotels and restaurants at 2 AA rosette level for 5 years and has a real passion for good quality food and using local produce whenever possible. Nick arrives fresh from a summer cheffing on the private Scilly Isle of Tresco which is owned by Prince Charles and frequented by the rich & famous.
Luke takes control of Chalet Blanchot this winter. Like Nick, Luke has spent the summer working on the private Island of Tresco cheffing in a fine dining restaurant. For over 7 years he has had a great passion for cooking and last year, Luke and his team collectively won the Derbyshire life magazine dining pub of the year, also getting their famous Steak and Ale pudding into the Derbyshire’s cook book (get stuck in series).
Holly is your fun & smiley host at Chalet Blanchot, bringing with her years of front of house bar & restaurant experience, managing front of house teams in her previous employment. Holly’s references from her previous employers were among the most impressive we’ve ever received at Alpoholics.
We are still interviewing for this position so if you think you have what it takes to join our incredible team please email us at email@example.com with your CV and covering letter.
Francesca will be teaming up with Nick to look after Chalet Orshanti this year. This will be her second winter season in the Alps, having previously worked in les Arc. She is finally returning after three years, but by no means out of practise - only 25, Francesca already has a decade of experience within the hospitality & catering industry, from cheffing to restaurant manager. Her fun and upbeat attitude and her meticulous attention to detail means she's ready to ensure our guests experience with Alpoholics is the best!
“Exceptional Chalet with a personal touch!” Such an amazing chalet, best I have stayed in, very spacious and comfortable, cannot fault it, everything you need and more. We were lucky enough to have the hot tub on the balcony outside our room which was an added bonus, such a nice way to ease the muscles after a day on the snow. I will definitely return :) “
“A faultless ski holiday - highly recommended.” This is the third time we have stayed with Alpoholics, and it get's better each time. Sensational food, great facilities (hot tub!) and practically ski-in-ski-out. This time we took our one year old daughter and the staff were fantastic with her. Overall a faultless holiday. Highly recommended
“Amazing, Sensational !!!!” 5 of 5 stars, What an amazing time!
Our group of 7 had the most enjoyable time in this perfectly situated well equipped chalet. Amazing view form the balcony and hot tub with outstanding food cooked every day by the most charming chalet hosts.
The chalet girls will bend over backwards to make your stay more enjoyable!
Will definitely return!
“Great chalet, great location, great service!”

Alpoholics strikes again, stayed in their other chalet last season - Blanchot was great, if not better! Not only is it just across the road from a chair lift taking you up the mountain, it's not far from La Mine for a well deserved apres ski drink. The chalet is great, perfect for a large group of friends and very cosy. The hot tub just adds to the experience. The guys at Alpoholics know their stuff, and the food was so good - we had a fussy lot of eaters too but the team took to the challenge with ease. Thanks guys! Definitely heading back again.
